Telehealth

Telehealth is a great way to get the health care you need while still practicing social distancing.

What is telehealth?
Telehealth — sometimes called telemedicine — lets our healthcare providers care for you without an in-person office visit. It is the use of electronics to extend care when you and the provider aren’t in the same place at the same time. If you have a device with the internet, you already have everything you need to do telehealth:
  • Talk to your provider live over video chat*
  • Use remote patient monitoring
* Video chat is required for appointments from home or those with PMHNP, Chandra Diebold.

What are the benefits of telehealth?
Virtual visits are becoming increasingly popular. Although in-person visits may be necessary in certain cases, there are many benefits of telehealth care.

The benefits of telehealth include:
  • Limited physical contact reduces everyone’s exposure to viruses
  • Virtual visits ensure access to health care wherever you are located – at home, at work, or even in your vehicle
  • Telehealth cuts down on travel, time off from work, and the need for childcare
