Sports Physicals
If your student attends a school where we have a health center, they can receive their physicals during school hours, with no need to take time off or requiring them to miss a portion of the school day. To save time, complete the sports physical form before the appointment, which can now be done online via our secure Online Consent Form.
In WV, a physical exam is required for sports, but it can be counted as a patient’s annual wellness checkup, as your provider has encouraged. An annual wellness check-up is covered under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and does not require a co-pay.

In-School Therapy Sessions
Besides offering behavioral health services at our school-based health centers and telehealth kiosks, IHCWV has several behavioral health therapists who visit local schools to provide in-person sessions. To see if this service is offered at your child’s school, call or text 304-643-4005.
Telehealth Kiosks
Integrated Health Centers of West Virginia (IHCWV) has partnered with numerous Wood County schools and Salem University to provide quality healthcare services to students, faculty, and school staff via telehealth kiosks. With the assistance of the school nurse, the kiosk’s equipment allows our provider to conduct an appointment as if they were in the room.
When to schedule a visit via kiosk:
To see if a kiosk is located at your child’s school, call or text 304-643-4005. Parental consent is required for a child to be seen. The telehealth kiosk consent forms may be securely completed online.

IHCWV offers vaccination services at all our locations, regardless of whether IHCWV is your primary medical home, ensuring protection for individuals from birth through adulthood.
Our school-based health centers conveniently offer vaccinations to students, staff, and faculty on school grounds. Certain vaccinations are required at some grade levels for students to attend school, so check with your child’s primary care provider to be sure they are up to date.
Does your child need an immunization? Contact a campus near you to make an appointment and complete the Immunizations Consent Form.

Don’t have health insurance? Are you or your family members underinsured? No problem! Our health centers never turn anyone away because of their inability to pay. Ask our receptionists about our Sliding Fee, which offers discounted services based on household size and income level.
