Phone number: 304-643-4005 Education: PhD, Nursing Practice - West Virginia University MS, Nursing - West Virginia University BS, Nursing - West Virginia University Lisa Straight, APRN, DNP, graduated from Parkersburg Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital for 13 years. During this time, she completed Bachelor’s and Master’s of Nursing Degrees from West Virginia University. She became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1998. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from WVU in 2010 with a doctoral dissertation focused on diabetes prevention in at-risk population. Her years of NP clinical experience includes family practice, urgent care and women's health. Lisa taught at WVU-Parkersburg for several years where her primary content focus was pharmacology but also included courses in ethics, alternative therapies, and pediatrics. She served one year as interim program director for the RN to BSN program for WVU-Parkersburg. Lisa enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling with her husband of 37 years. They are currently completing a National Park tour of the United States. She is the mother of two adult children who are the joy of her life and her greatest accomplishments.
