RRHC has opened our sixth - our second in Ritchie County, WV - school-based wellness center at Smithville Elementary School! In addition to providing a full range of primary care services to students (with parental consent), teachers, and staff, the clinic will be open to the community.
Ritchie Regional’s CEO, Amy Yokum, stated, “We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve Ritchie County at a new location and be able to offer affordable, compassionate, excellent care to the Smithville community. We’d like to once again thank the Ritchie County Board of Education as well as Smithville Elementary teachers, students, and staff, for all their support and assistance with establishing the Wellness Center.” Initially, the campus will be open on Mondays and Thursdays 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., but depending on the number of patients, they may extend their hours. Cristy Palmer, APRN, will be the primary medical provider. Behavioral health services will also be available via telehealth. We accept most insurances, including Medicaid and Medicare. Because RRHC is federally funded, we can offer the Sliding Fee Program to uninsured or underinsured patients. The Program provides discounted services based on family size and income. Appointments can be made by calling/texting 304-643-4005, although the clinic technically won’t see its first patient until Thursday, January 5, 2023. #RRHCsbhc
