🎀 During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we wear pink to show support to those who have been diagnosed with, are battling, or are recovering from the disease 🎀
📣Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States, except for skin cancers. It is about 30% (or 1 in 3) of all new female cancers each year. The American Cancer Society's estimates for breast cancer in the United States for 2023 are: 📍 About 297,790 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women. 📍 About 55,720 new cases of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) will be diagnosed. 📍 About 43,700 women will die from breast cancer. Remember -- “The best protection is early detection.” The first line of defense and perhaps the easiest, is yearly screenings. Be entered for a chance to win the beautiful Breast Cancer Awareness gift set pictured below by scheduling a screening at any of our 8 locations, during the month of October. To schedule an appointment call or text 304-643-4005. Not sure you can afford to be screened? Think again! RRHC proudly participates in the Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening Program (BCCSP) which, in collaboration with the WV Department of Health and Human Resources, helps uninsured or underinsured women access breast and cervical cancer screening services. Eligibility for the BCCSP can be found by clicking here. Get screened today! #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth
