RRHC has opened our sixth - our second in Ritchie County, WV - school-based wellness center at Smithville Elementary School! In addition to providing a full range of primary care services to students (with parental consent), teachers, and staff, the clinic will be open to the community.
Ritchie Regional’s CEO, Amy Yokum, stated, “We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve Ritchie County at a new location and be able to offer affordable, compassionate, excellent care to the Smithville community. We’d like to once again thank the Ritchie County Board of Education as well as Smithville Elementary teachers, students, and staff, for all their support and assistance with establishing the Wellness Center.” Initially, the campus will be open on Mondays and Thursdays 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., but depending on the number of patients, they may extend their hours. Cristy Palmer, APRN, will be the primary medical provider. Behavioral health services will also be available via telehealth. We accept most insurances, including Medicaid and Medicare. Because RRHC is federally funded, we can offer the Sliding Fee Program to uninsured or underinsured patients. The Program provides discounted services based on family size and income. Appointments can be made by calling/texting 304-643-4005, although the clinic technically won’t see its first patient until Thursday, January 5, 2023. #RRHCsbhc

This time of year is merry and bright for many of us, but for others, it’s a time of overwhelming sadness and stress.
Maybe you lost someone or money is too tight to buy gifts. Perhaps you’re a parent that is exhausted yet feels like you haven’t done enough fun holiday activities with your child. Maybe you’re lonely. Or maybe you just wish Christmas would be over already because Christmas music has been blaring at the stores since October. Whatever your source of depression or frustration may be this holiday season, please know, you’re not alone, and we totally get it. If you need to talk, our professional therapists are here to listen. Don’t bottle it up. Don’t let sadness or stress consume you. Reach out to us and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Just call or text 304-643-4005. Please visit our Locations page to view our hours. To learn more about our behavioral health providers, click here. Don’t think you can afford to be seen? Think again. Ritchie Regional is privileged to offer uninsured or underinsured patients the Sliding Fee Program, which provides services at discounted rates, based on family size and income. In crisis now? Call or text 988 to be connected to trained counselors who will provide support. 988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Don't give up. Better days ahead. Your life matters. As any place of business can tell you, a good, dedicated employee is hard to come by these days. However, RRHC is fortunate enough to be celebrating the anniversaries of three truly exceptional individuals who have been with us for years.
Danielle, Tara, and Kathy: thank you so much for your service and for your continued dedication to RRHC and our patients! We appreciate you! |
