IHCWV to Discontinue Dental Services by May 30, 2025

5/19/2025

WEST UNION, W.Va. — Integrated Health Centers of West Virginia (IHCWV), formerly known as Ritchie Regional Health Center, has announced that it will discontinue its dental services at the end of May. Dr. Holly Haldeman-Collins’ last day with IHCWV, and the final day of dental operations, will be May 30, 2025.

Discontinuing dental services was a challenging decision for IHCWV Board of Directors, but it was made with the community's needs as the top priority. By allowing Wilson Martino Dental to lease IHCWV’s current dental office locations in Doddridge County, more robust dental services and extended hours of operation will be available. While the dental program concludes, IHCWV will continue offering Primary Care and Behavioral Health Services to the community without interruption.

“We’ve been honored to serve your family’s dental needs over the years,” stated the IHCWV Administrative Office in a letter to patients. “We understand this transition may raise concerns, and we are committed to assisting our patients in continuing their dental care elsewhere.”

Patients are encouraged to select a new dental provider as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition and prevent a lapse in dental care.
Possible Options:
  • Wilson Martino Dental (Wilson Martino Dental will provide dental services at IHCWV’s current dental offices, accepting all insurance plans and offering Specialized Fee Schedules & Payment Plans) - 304-408-3270
  • Minnie Hamilton Health System Dental Office (*Offers Sliding Fee Discount Program – discounted service rates for uninsured or underinsured individuals based on income level and household size) – 304-354-5998
  • Preston-Taylor Community Health Centers Dental Office (*Offers Sliding Fee Discount Program – discounted service rates for uninsured or underinsured individuals based on income level and household size) – 304-265-4600

Patients needing help locating new dental care providers or wishing to transfer their dental records are encouraged to contact IHCWV at 304-643-4005 during regular business hours. The health centers will retain dental records for a period of time and can forward them upon request with a signed authorization form. IHCWV’s Dental Authorization for Release of Information form may be completed securely online by visiting https://form.jotform.com/243425540140041.

“Though our dental services are ending, our dedication to your health remains as strong as ever,” IHCWV officials said. “We are here to support you during this change and ensure continued access to care.”

May. The arrival of warmer weather and blooming flowers often brings a sense of renewal. It's also a crucial time to turn our attention inward and nurture our minds, because May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Here at Integrated Health Centers of West Virginia (IHCWV), we believe that mental health is just as vital as physical health, and we're deeply committed to fostering well-being across our communities.

For too long, mental health has been a topic shrouded in stigma. Mental Health Awareness Month provides a powerful opportunity to break down these barriers, encourage open conversations, and remind everyone that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. It’s a time to educate ourselves and others about mental health conditions, advocate for better access to care, and, most importantly, to show compassion and understanding to those who may be struggling.

At IHCWV, we understand that mental health is an integral part of overall health. That’s why we’re proud to offer comprehensive behavioral health services designed to support families and individuals five years and older. Our dedicated team of compassionate behavioral health providers, including therapists, counselors, and other specialists, is here to provide a safe and supportive space for families and individuals facing a range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and substance use. We believe in a holistic approach, tailoring our services to meet each client's unique needs.

As part of our commitment to accessible mental health support, we also facilitate free SMART Recovery classes. SMART Recovery (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is a science-based, self-empowering addiction recovery support group. These classes provide valuable tools and techniques for individuals seeking to manage addictive behaviors and offer support to friends and family of those in active addiction.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we encourage you to prioritize your mental well-being and reach out if you need support. Remember, you are not alone, and help is available. At IHCWV, we are here to walk alongside you on your journey to a healthier and happier life.

If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, please don't hesitate to reach out to us by calling or texting 304-643-4005—your well-being matters.

In crisis now? Call or text 988.

The energy was palpable, the smiles were bright, and the sense of community was truly heartwarming at the grand opening of Integrated Health Centers of West Virginia's (IHCWV) new Downtown St. Marys Campus! It was a momentous occasion, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to meeting the growing healthcare needs of our neighbors right here in Pleasants County.

For IHCWV, this new location signifies more than just an additional building; it represents our deepened dedication to providing accessible, affordable, and compassionate care to the residents of Pleasants County five days a week. We understand the importance of having reliable healthcare close to home, and we are incredibly proud to expand our reach and make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families in this community.

This expansion complements our existing campus located within St. Marys High School, which is also open to the public. It further solidifies IHCWV's presence as a cornerstone of health and wellness in the area.

The wonderful support we received made the grand opening event even more special. A heartfelt thank you goes to the Pleasants Area Chamber of Commerce for their invaluable assistance in organizing and conducting the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Their invitation of community stakeholders truly highlighted the collaborative spirit that makes St. Marys so inspiring. We also sincerely thank 93R and WTAP Television for covering the event, and our dedicated IHCWV board members, Christopher Miller, Cynthia Burkhart, and Mary Beth McDougal, who took the time to be present and celebrate this important milestone with us.

And what's a celebration without delicious treats? A special shout-out to St. Mary's Galaxy Food Center for preparing the delightful refreshments enjoyed by all. Your contribution added a wonderful touch to the day!

As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we are thrilled to announce our latest campaign: 'Health Begins @ IHCWV'. This initiative underscores our belief that a healthy community starts with accessible and quality healthcare for everyone.

As part of this campaign, we are inviting community members and businesses to partner with us in a meaningful way. We have an exciting opportunity to become a sponsor to help equip an exam room. The cost to fully equip one of these vital spaces is $15,000. With your help, we can provide additional treatment space at our Downtown Clinic, expanding access to the affordable, compassionate, and excellent care that defines IHCWV. Your generous contribution will directly impact the lives of countless individuals seeking care within the community.

The grand opening of the St. Marys Downtown Campus is a testament to the dedication and hard work of so many individuals. It signifies a brighter and healthier future for Pleasants County. We are deeply grateful for the trust and support of the Pleasants County community and look forward to continuing to serve you with the compassionate and quality care you deserve. Health truly does begin @ IHCWV, and we are excited to welcome you to our new downtown healthcare home!
