🚍 🍎👨⚕️ School-Based Health Center Awareness Month is the perfect time to spotlight our 6 school-based health centers (SBHCs)! We proudly serve schools in Doddridge, Ritchie, Pleasants, and Wood Counties, as well as the surrounding communities.
Why are SBHCs so awesome?! Here are a few of our top reasons: 🔐Accessibility: They bring healthcare directly to students, eliminating transportation barriers and making getting the care they need easier. Even though they are located on school grounds, they are open to the public. ✅Convenience: Appointments fit into busy school/work schedules, minimizing disruption to learning and allowing children to be seen without parents having to miss work. 💰Affordability: Like all RRHC locations, our SBHCs accept all insurance plans, including Medicaid, and offer services on a Sliding Fee Scale for uninsured or underinsured individuals, making healthcare accessible regardless of income or insurance status. 💯Holistic Care: Our SBHCs provide comprehensive care, including check-ups, immunizations, counseling, and dental services*. 📈Improved Outcomes: Studies show SBHCs lead to better health outcomes, including higher immunization rates, increased access to mental health care, and improved academic performance. 🤝Teamwork: SBHCs collaborate with schools, families, and communities to create a supportive environment for student health. Locate a Ritchie Regional SBHC near you. #RRHCsbhc #SBHCAwareness #schoolbasedhealth *Dental services are only available in West Union, WV. Did you know February is National Heart Health Month?
